Are you a Winter Warrior?

On Saturday, March 25th come to the BSC South Station or BSC Boylston St location and test your endurance, physical strength as well as stamina all while raising money to help children in the Boston area who are facing serious adversity. With your support, we can continue to help these kids soar!

The first annual Above the Clouds Winter Warrior Challenge is a gym-based decathlon presented by StrongForGood and hosted by Boston Sports Clubs. Designed to be accessible to all fitness levels, the Winter Warrior Challenge is open to both current BSC members and non-members. Become a part of the StrongForGood community and show Old Man Winter who’s boss!

This fundraising event will feature ten challenges that will test your strength, speed and endurance. We encourage each participant to raise $250 – $500 that will directly support the efforts of Above the Clouds. There is a $50 minimum donation for 5 events and a $100 minimum donation for all ten events.

Below are the descriptions of the ten events:

The Blizzard– bench press 100lbs (or 50lbs) for as many reps as possible

Polar Vortex– volume squat: Pick your weight and complete as many reps as possible in 5 minutes or less to accumulate the highest total weight

Cold Snap– perform as many push-ups as possible in 1 minute

Mr. Freeze– hold a static chin-up for maximum time

Frostbite – complete 750 meters on the rower in as little time as possible aka do it fast!

Black Ice– run or walk 1 mile faster than the person next to you

Abominable Snowman – carry 18kg or 28kg kettlebells for as long as possible

Snowplow – how fast can you carry and stack ten 45lbs plates and then return them?

Iceberg Ahead!– take three attempts to jump as far as you can

Nor’Easter– 10 burpees, 10 ball slams, 10 kettlebell swings (16/24kg). How many rounds can you finish in 3 minutes?

Your donation will bring “joy and hope” to kids through the wonder of flight.
